The desire to portray a connected and modern-day image of their establishment is of major importance to universities today: video surveillance equipment, video usage, uploading courses on the cloud, setting up connected and interactive tools, computer centers for universities with research centers, Wi-Fi access for everyone, etc.
The networks of university campuses, often composed of old-generation fibers and limited to 1 Gb/s or even less, do not have sufficient bandwidth to accommodate new digital solutions and must be upgraded.
Given the size of university campuses and the distance between buildings, universities fear heavy-duty work and do not necessarily have the means to consider deploying new fibers.
• Student and teacher activities are not interrupted
• Installing AROONA is quick, easy and doesn’t require any work
• The long and often complex process of recabling optical fibers is avoided
